An abbreviated schedule of 8 games will kickoff the race for the 2026 National Championship. It's been a long wait for me I can tell you for sure. With my health holding steady, although guarded and monitored carefully, I'm thankful to say the Billingsley Report will continue on for at least one more year! As in 2025 my nephew Steve joined me in Alvin to create the 2026 Pre-Season Rankings, but this year he travelled from his new home in Columbia, Missouri where he moved to in the off season.
The first game of the day finds North Carolina kicking off in Dublin, Ireland and the day's final contest with UNLV hosting Memphis. The next weekend finds games scattered from Thursday night through the Labor Day finale, the very important ACC contest between SMU and Florida State in Tallahassee. The 2026 Pre-Season rankings will be posted, along with the first week's projection in mid August.
