Published Sun. Nov 8th, 2020 Notre Dame Outlasts Clemson 47-40 in Double Overtime

Just like so many times before in the storied history of Notre Dame football, the Irish found a way to win. A series of smothering defensive plays in double overtime led to the 47-40 victory over the top ranked Clemson Tigers Saturday night in South Bend. The win catapulted Notre Dame to #2 in the Billingsley Report behind idle #1 Alabama. Around the Nation: Liberty moved to 7-0 on the season with a shocking last second field goal to top Virginia Tech 38-35. Cincinnati continues to impress with a 38-10 win over Houston. Brigham Young made a strong CFP statement with an overwhelming 51-17 win on the road over Boise State. Surprising Indiana defeated Michigan 38-21. It was the first Hoosier win over the Wolverines since 1987. The Pac 12 season finally got underway with Oregon leading the charge in a 35-14 win over Stanford. Arkansas is showing signs of life in the Razorback program having moved to 3-3 on the season with a 24-13 win over Tennessee. Florida took control of the SEC East with a 44-28 win over rival Georgia and Coastal Carolina moved to 7-0 with a 23-6 home win over South Alabama.
