Published Sun. Nov 1st, 2020 Clemson Survives Boston College Upset Bid, Notre Dame up next.

How important is Trevor Lawrence to the Tigers? Apparently a lot. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to take anything away from Boston College. The Eagles obviously did a great job in preparing for their trip to Death Valley, but Boston College was a 24 point underdog and nearly pulled off the upset of the year against the Trevorless Tigers, finally succumbing 34-28. Word is this morning, Lawrence will NOT be available for the upcoming game of the year this Saturday in South Bend. What a shame. How will the CFP evaluate this game should Clemson lose? Around the Nation: Cincinnati is looking more and more like a playoff contender after disposing of Memphis 49-10. Ohio State traveled to Happy Valley and took care of the Nittany Lions 38-25. Michigan was stunned in the Big House by arch rival Michigan State 37-34. Wolverine fans are not happy. The Big12 is in jeopardy of losing a spot in the playoffs after Texas came from behind to defeat previously unbeaten Oklahoma State 41-34 in OT. Brigham Young moved to 7-0 on the season after steamrolling Western Kentucky 41-10. A huge game with Boise State is upcoming this week, and Alabama remains Number 1 on the Billingsley Report with a 41-0 shellacking of Mississippi State.
