Texas A&M Records Record Comeback ; Sooners Surprise Tide in Tuscaloosa

With the scoreboard showing South Carolina 30 Texas A&M 3 at the half it appeared the Gamecocks were going to shock the nation with the upset of the season, but the Aggies were a completely different team in the second half and pulled out the greatest comeback in Texas A&M history scoring 28 points and holding South Carolina to no points in the second half. Final, Texas A&M 31 South Carolina 30. The Aggies strength of schedule was enough to lift Texas A&M to #1 in the Nation, jumping Ohio State who has been on top all season long. Meanwhile, the Sooners were pulling a shocker of their own holding Alabama to 21 points and leaving the Tide crowd stunned with a 23-21 loss. The Oklahoma defense was spectacular, holding Alabama over and over in crucial times, especially on the Tides last possession, stopping a fourth down try turning the ball over to Oklahoma who ran out the clock. the win bumped Oklahoma to becoming the nation's highest rated two loss team at #7.
Around the Nation: Georgia Tech avoided an embarrassing upset at the hands of #91 Boston College coming away with a 36-34 win. Navy upset league leader South Florida 41-38 leaving the American Conference race wide open. Texas Tech has taken a firm hold on top of the Big 12 with last week's win over BYU and now a 48-9 crushing of UCF. Georgia dominated Texas 35-10 and Ole Miss survived Florida 34-24. Vanderbilt had the week off while LSU miraculously squeaked by Arkansas 23-22.
