The once proud Tennessee football program has hit a new low. In one of the most shocking season openers in college history, Georgia State, a heavy 25-30 point underdog, brought Neyland Stadium to it's knees Saturday, surprising the Volunteers 38-30. Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia all prevailed over lesser competition. Oklahoma handled a slightly better team in Houston. The Bayou Bengals travel to Austin, Texas Saturday in the Nation's premier college game to take on the Texas Longhorns. Boise State was impressive in a come from behind win over Florida State as was Auburn against Oregon. The SEC suffered a disappointing weekend with Missouri, South Carolina and Mississippi all falling in their opening games.
